jogos sérios e espaciais, em tempos onde aspectos não-humanos guiam a esfera do
cosmos humana.

"Lady of the Labyrinth's Honey" is first expression, archaeological, that guards the entrance of the first human labyrinths, before which are performed offerings of eusocial nectar, to the lady of the labyrinth, craving for safe passage before the first lethal device of serious and spacial games, in times where non-human aspects guide the sphere of human cosmos. This exhibition accounts for electronic and digital explorations in the footpath of the environment which braces the mythical engineered yarn: it proposes artifacts under the form of machinic drawings originating from non-human sources, abstract sculptures of the players, photographs and devices of bio-electronic aggregates, vegetable paintings with maps of played games, interactive visualizations of animal spaces, and a videogame, for two players. Daedalus, Ariadne, Minos, Theseus, Pasiphae, Asterion, and many others, dance and play, cyclically, in the virtual gardens of the lady of the labyrinth.<br>

FACTT 2019 - (BE) COMING - An Exhibition of Experimental Contemporary Art about
the impermanence of becoming permanent A transformation is an extreme, radical change.
The unavoidability of changes is a constant awareness we have throughout our lives.
We may not always be aware of it, and often just expend so much energy avoiding this “law of nature” that we forget that it exists and start thriving for stability.
(BE) COMING is an exhibition about change, about the impossibility of not changing, about the perpetual impermanence and the process of becoming. As we become aware of the need to change in our world, on our planet in our lives it feels necessary to remember that life is a dynamic process. That life is a consistent process of transformation and adaptation, of becoming. Art, more than any other human endeavour is a reflection of this aspect of life and therefore the best way to remember the process of being something different, something else, something more, or something less, even while becoming ourselves.
This year’s FACTT exhibition is composed of a series of works from different artists that makes us stop and reminds us of the process of becoming.

SENTIENT STATES<br>
bio-mind and techno-nature<br>
<br>
<br>
The conference will look at the nature of artificial thought, and forms of intelligence in nature - charted through aspects of transdisciplinary creative practice and theory in our planetary culture.
<br>
<br>
Just as new paradigms of feeling and communication are beginning to form around our interaction with life at all levels of our perception, from plants and trees to fungi and bacteria, we may see matter as inhabited mind, media as necessarily moist, and technology as a tool of the Tao.
<br>
<br>
Thought is spreading through all our systems, places and products. We need cities that are not only smart but sensitive: schools that think, roads that remember, buildings that feel. art that is as much extra-sensory as interpersonal.
<br>
<br>
Our consciousness is both reframing and reforming.

Abstract<br>
Electronic machinic phenomena yield fascinating links with biological processes. Either in macro-micro-structure of binary encoded information – bytes on media –, to the processual flow programs execute on hardware while operating it. Observing micro-electronic worlds as living entities: electronic voltages running throughout electronic architectures pipelining data to memory registers, operating systems executing programs on electronic substrates, data flows taking place in machines and in communications protocols within networks. Static art-sci constructs explore and visualize these observations as 2D drawings (Neon Paleolitikos Drawings, 2017) or 3D sculptures (Binary/Biological Sculpture Series, 2018), creatively exposing their inherent rhythmic organization of information, while dynamic installations propose immersive interference mechanisms which attempt user entanglement in non-human environments (Phoenix.Wolfanddotcom.info, Wolfanddotcom, Half-Plant, 2017). Static-aesthetic-constructs allow contemplation of these phenomena whilst dynamic-art-sci-constructs propose interfaces through which one could immerse in this Neon-Paleolitikos strata. From a couple of videogames, set in a post-anthropocene epoch, where we fly-play phoenix embodiment simulator and hunt within bio-electronic wolf-packs building a network, using interactive immersive electronics as bridges towards non-human-otherness, animal-embodiment, cathartic gameplay. To an electronic-plant, broadcasting a wi-fi access point, operated by connected users smartphones, partly micro-electronic processes, partly micro-biological voltages, combined through dna genetic algorithms and user interference, exposing its data as sound which is fed-back to the Half-Plant as stimulus. This research proposes a look at bio-electronic aggregates on Neon Paleolitikos strata. After the Anthropocene, Neon Paleolitikos is an imaginary epoch dating since the decline of mankind until the zenith of bio-electronic life-forms: operational symbioses combined amongst ruins of silica, transistors, algorithms, cells, plants, animals, electricity.<br><br>

Non-Human Human Art-Sci Constructs. André Sier works artistically with code and interactive media at s373.net/x studios, where he combines videogames, installations, painting, sculpture, music, mathematics and computation into objects and experiences of electronic arts, merging mythology, interfaces, generative interactive space-time continuums. In the past 21 years has produced objects and serial interactive work that playfully unravel time and space relations, synthesized on electronic substrates, shown at over 27 individual national and international exhibitions. André Sier is an electronic artist trained in sciences, arts, computing, with a degree in philosophy, lecturing in electronic arts, pursuing PhD in technoetic arts. http://andre-sier.com <br>

ANDRE SIER (media artist, Lisbon, Portugal)<br>
Imaginary Media (√(-art))<br><br>
In his talk Andre Sier speaks about his artistic work based on code and interactivity.<br>
„Let us consider, for a moment, the square root of negative art being imaginary media. Computers often express a strict degree of formalism, whereas any wrong/creative instruction might jeopardize or even collapse the stability of the system. Imaginary numbers, within mathematics, are born from an expressed logical impossibility, and through this systemic collapse they edify essential mathematical methods into the imaginary realm. Similarly, exploring arts with computers, seeking other than reality “imaginary media”, through projects that integrate real-time and interactive sciences & arts, interlinking computer engineering, music, painting, sculpture, interfaces, narrative, dexterity, logic, videogames, in order to provide a virtual time-space continuum closer to the experience of imaginary yet tangible realities. Cathartic otherness artistic laboratories, in construction over the past 20 years, entangling myths, beasts and machines, through them you are invited to: Skate your way through fairy tales; Dragon fly the late Anthropocene; Time-travel through a tetrahedron to Atlantis; Link up with your wolf pack rebuilding a planetary network; Inhabit binary and biological architectures; Sound mate and mutate a plant with electronics over your smartphone collaboratively.“ (André Sier)<br>
